There are 5 attributes that you must develop to be successful. This will enable you to achieve your ultimate goals
* Your skin must be thick: This is the only way you can really fend off malicious criticism. A lot of people will try to bring you down and if you don't take it personal, you'll certainly become more successful. Treat it like "water off the duck's back".
Duck feathers are tightly grouped. They actually repel any moisture that they come into contact with. If you wish to be successful, you'll hear a certain amount of negative criticism from others--Treat it like water on the duck's back--let it roll off. This way you'll be better prepared for the jealous people.
* Obedience: although this might seem strange to talk about to adults and not children, it is important to consider that in order to be a leader, you must first learn how to obey a leader. You must learn the principle of loyalty to a leader if you want to lead others.
Fortune 500 Companies have great leaders--at least 175 CEOs are former us Marines. And 27 US Presidents served in the military. This comes from learning to obey orders and following a good leader. It teaches you to understand what commands and orders do to help operate an organization.
* Being courageous: Home of the Brave--but hopefully --home of the courageous too. There are brave people all over but it takes moral fortitude to be courageous. This means making the right decision even when faced with adversity.
If you have a vision--then you need the courage to follow through with it. Using this courage will give you the ability to make a better life for yourself and others. If you have courage in your conviction, action is not far behind--This will result in success.
* Be Intolerant: This may sound like it doesn't belong here but it's meant for certain things. There's a lot of injustice and immorality out there--and you must be intolerant of that. To be successful you have to learn what you should tolerate. This will give you a better insight to become the person you hope to be.
* Have a good sense of Humour: Sometimes we have to laugh at ourselves. There are a lot of setbacks on the road we walk down. If you run into one of them and get knocked down--you should just try to laugh it off and get right back up. If you dwell on it too long, you'll just become bitter and never move on. When you laugh at yourself--it could turn out that you're laughing all the way to the bank.
